Permissions

Presence access is per . You give a person or a role the ability to see a workspace, to admin it, or neither. You can do that for one workspace, or for every workspace in the account.

Admin includes view. You never need both.

Account administrators already have all of this. You do not need to grant it again.

One workspace

On Settings → Workspace → Permissions, assign people and groups to the workspace you have selected:

  • Can view - see this workspace's results, brands, topics, and answers.
  • Can admin - everything view allows, plus editing the workspace, its brands and topics, this permissions list, and deleting the workspace.

This is how you give one team one workspace without letting them see the others. A typical pattern is Can admin on their own workspace, and nothing else.

Search for a person or group above the list. Matches already on the list stay there, so you can change their level or remove them. Matches who are not on the list appear with a plus: click to add them at Can view, then raise them to Can admin if they should manage the workspace.

Everyone is the built-in group for the whole account. Granting it Can view lets every user of the account see the workspace.

You can only add users and groups that belong to this account. Only someone who can admin the workspace can open this list. Changes apply as soon as you make them.

If you remove your own admin access and you do not have it another way, you will not be able to give it back to yourself.

Every workspace

On a user or role, under Presence, you can grant:

  • Can admin all workspaces - admin every workspace, including ones created later. Includes seeing them, and creating new ones.
  • Can see all workspaces - view every workspace, including ones created later.
  • Can create new workspaces - create workspaces. The creator gets full permission on each workspace they create.

These are for people who should reach Presence as a whole, not just the workspaces you have listed them on.

Some people reach a workspace without a row of their own. Also has access on the workspace's permissions list names why: they administer the account, they can admin every workspace, or they can see every workspace.
