Governance

Silktide tests your websites continuously and organises what it finds into four scored modules: Content, Accessibility, User Experience, and Compliance. Each module focuses on one aspect of website quality and has its own screens, checks, and score. Inventory is not scored - it is the catalogue of everything Silktide found. Targets sit alongside the modules so you can set goals for the scores and metrics they produce.

Sites in the nav rail opens the website you last viewed on this device. If there is no last site, or you have several and none remembered, you land on the Sites list. Inside a website, the sidebar header (or the toolbar on a small screen) is a site switcher: the current site's sections, other sites, All sites, and New section.

Modules

Across modules

  • Pages - browse tested HTML pages from Inventory or any scored module.
  • PDFs - browse tested PDFs from Inventory or modules that include them.
  • Collections - group websites into sets with combined scores.
  • Custom checks - define your own brand, policy, and technical rules.
  • Inspector - investigate a page and its findings in context.
  • Decisions - approve or ignore findings; your decisions apply wherever the check appears.
  • Website settings - account-wide testing policy: criteria, checks, spelling, and similar.
  • This website's settings - configure testing, scope, and website-specific behaviour.
  • Testing scope - how Silktide decides which content to discover and analyse.
  • Crawling - how Silktide discovers and fetches your pages, and what happens when a website pushes back.
  • AI reports - on-demand AI assessments you run when you want a deeper page-level judgement.
  • Module strategy - an on-demand plan of the top issues in one website module and what to fix first.
  • How languages work - how Silktide decides each page's language, and how to correct it.
  • How scoring changed in Silktide 5 - how V5 calculates scores and how that differs from V4.
