Strategy screen

Strategy is where measurement becomes a plan. It lists every strategy brief written about this , and it is where you commission new ones.

What it shows

The workspace brief takes the top of the screen: the current edition's cover, its headline finding, and how the workspace has been moving since it was written. This is the whole-workspace picture, and for most teams it is the one that matters.

Topic briefs follow as a grid - one per you have analysed, each with its current visibility and task progress.

Custom briefs are the ones answering questions you wrote yourself, listed separately because they are not about a fixed subject.

Every brief shows two things worth reading before you open it:

  • Visibility - how often assistants mention your brand in that topic (or the whole workspace, on the workspace brief). Unmeasured topics show a dash, which is different from 0%.
  • Its task progress - "N of M tasks done" - covering the recommendations it made. Clicking through opens the Tasks screen filtered to that brief.

What you can do here

  • Run a brief. The dialog states what will be analysed and what it costs before anything starts. Choose Standard or Deep depth. A deep run is a longer, more visual investigation and costs more. Workspace and topic briefs accept optional extra context.
  • Start a custom brief by writing the question yourself: "Which competitor should we worry about most?", "Why did our visibility drop last month?"
  • Read an edition. Past editions stay readable; running a brief again adds an edition rather than replacing the last one.
  • Triage recommendations directly from the brief - accept, decline, or open each proposed task.
  • Choose who is alerted when a scheduled workspace brief finishes. The Alerts control is the list for strategy briefs; News has its own. The Topics filter also narrows which briefs appear.

A run takes a few minutes, and you can watch its progress. The new edition appears here when it finishes.

When to run one

After there is something new to say. A brief argues from measured answers, so running one a week after the last will largely repeat it.

The productive rhythm is: run a brief, triage its tasks, do the work, let it be measured for a few weeks, then run the next edition and see what moved.
