Tasks screen
Tasks is the AEO backlog for this workspace: every task that came out of a strategy brief, a commissioned brief, or an AEO report on a page that belongs to this workspace's brand. Tasks from elsewhere in Silktide are filtered out, so this is a clean view of the work that would improve how assistants talk about you here.
The same tasks also appear in the main Tasks area alongside everything else in your account.
Reading the list
Each row carries its key, name, status, priority, effort, and assignee. Sorting defaults to priority, so the work judged most urgent is at the top.
The status to understand first is Proposed. A proposed task is a recommendation nobody has agreed to yet - it is waiting on your judgement, not on someone's time. Everything else (Backlog, Todo, In progress, Done, Cancelled) behaves as you would expect.
If you arrived here by clicking through from a brief, the list is narrowed to that one brief's recommendations and says so. There is a link to widen it back to every AEO task in this workspace.
What you can do here
- Triage. Accept a proposed task into your workflow, or cancel it. You can also do this from the recommendation cards while reading the brief.
- Edit in place. Status, priority, effort, and assignee can all be changed from the row.
- Act in bulk. Select several tasks and set their status, priority, or effort together, or cancel them all at once.
- Open a task to rewrite its title or description and read its full history. If Linear is connected, accepting the task creates the issue there. Tasks opened from this list or from What to do on Overview keep Previous and Next controls so you can walk the same list without returning to the table.
- Finish work in place. When you move a task into a completed status, Silktide acknowledges it briefly so finishing the last item in a batch feels deliberate rather than silent.
- Search, filter, and export by name, key, assignee, status, or priority.
Why triage matters
Declining a task is not ignoring it. A cancelled task stays on record, and the next edition of the brief that proposed it is told you declined it - so it will not simply be proposed again next quarter as though the conversation never happened. It can only return if there is genuinely new evidence for it.
Completing tasks matters for the same reason. The next edition knows what landed, leads with what changed, and reports whether the numbers moved.
