Structured data matches the page

Whether the page's honestly describes what is visibly on the page.

Silktide's regular checks verify that structured data exists and is well-formed. This judgment goes further, the way only a reader can: does the markup make sense for this page? Structured data that declares the wrong type, names a different author than the page shows, or carries dates and claims the visible content contradicts is worse than none - AI systems that detect the mismatch discount everything else the markup says.

When this is flagged

The report flags this when the structured data and the visible page disagree: mismatched titles, authors, or dates; a declared type that misrepresents the content; boilerplate markup copied from another page. Pages without structured data are not judged here (its absence is covered elsewhere).

How to fix it

Make the markup tell the page's own truth. Most mismatches come from templates emitting static values - check that titles, authors, and dates are populated from the page, not hard-coded.
