Search ranking screen

Search ranking is a User Experience sidebar screen, available where search tracking is enabled for your account. It tracks where a website appears for the keywords you configure.

Each keyword can carry search-engine, device, language, and geographic context so repeated checks are comparable. Rankings change because of your website, competitors, search-engine updates, location, and result-page features.

How deep rankings go

Since September 2025, Google serves only one page of results per search, so rankings are generally measured within the top 10 organic results - sometimes fewer, where ads and AI Overviews take space. Pages ranking below the measured results show as Unranked, and ranking history reflects the same cut from that date. This affects every rank-tracking product.

Use ranking trends rather than a single position to understand progress. Connect changes to the pages and queries that matter to your organisation, and avoid treating every small movement as meaningful.
