Mention

A mention is a being named in an AI assistant's answer.

Every mention records where in the answer the brand appeared, the tone of the description, and how central the brand was to answering the question - whether it was offered as a real answer, mentioned in support, or dropped in passing. Those distinctions matter: incidental name-drops count toward visibility but not toward sentiment.

Mentions are what visibility, share of voice, and position are all counted from.
