Visibility

Visibility is how often AI assistants mention you. Of every answer Silktide measured in what you are currently looking at, it is the percentage that named your .

If we put your topics to assistants 100 times and you were named in 40 of those answers, your visibility is 40%.

The scope in the toolbar decides which answers those are: the workspace, the date range, the assistants, and any single topic or prompt you have narrowed to. Change the scope and the figure re-reads for that slice.

Nobody else can change it

Visibility is yours alone. If a competitor doubles their mentions tomorrow, your visibility does not move a point - they were never in the denominator.

That is what separates it from share of voice, which is competitive by design and can fall while your visibility holds perfectly steady. Read the two together: visibility rising while share of voice falls means the workspace is getting more coverage and your rivals are taking more of it than you are.

What counts as being mentioned

  • Named once or ten times in the same answer counts once. Visibility asks how many answers reached you, not how loudly each one did.
  • A passing name-drop still counts. You appeared. Whether the assistant described you well is sentiment; how early you appeared is position.
  • Questions about you do not count. Prompts that ask about your own brand sit on a brand topic and are left out, because naming yourself in an answer about yourself is not a competitive win. See Workspaces and topics.

What is a good number?

There is no target. Real answer sets cluster low, so 30% is often the runaway leader of its arena. Judge it against the competitors on the same rows rather than against an imaginary 100%, and judge the trend rather than any single day.
