Task integrations

Silktide can with the task tracker your team already uses. Connecting one means an accepted Silktide task becomes an issue in that tracker, so the work is picked up where people already look.

You only need one tracker connected. Account administrators connect it from Settings → Integrations, or from the prompt at the top of Tasks.

What connecting does

  • Authorises Silktide to create and delete issues in your tracker on your behalf.
  • Lets you pick defaults for new issues (for Linear, the team and an optional project).
  • Publishes a task when you accept it: the title and description become a new issue, and the two stay linked.

Connecting does not move your whole backlog, keep later edits in sync, or change how you create tasks in Silktide. Silktide remains where the finding was turned into work; the tracker is where that work is run.

Linear

Linear is available today. After you connect it, open the integration and choose a default team. Until that is set, Silktide cannot publish.

Acceptance is the publication gate. A proposed task stays in Silktide until you accept it. Accepting creates the Linear issue. Moving the task back to proposed deletes that issue. Later edits on either side stay on that side.
