How does Silktide security work?

Silktide is a cloud SaaS application hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

In brief:

  • Traffic between you and Silktide uses TLS
  • Access requires an authorised user account (password and/or SSO)
  • What each person can see or change is limited by roles
  • Website login credentials used for testing are stored so testing can run; prefer dummy accounts for sensitive environments
  • Silktide staff access is controlled; regional hosting keeps customer data within the contracted geography

For the data Silktide keeps, see What does Silktide do with my data?. Silktide is not available as an on-premises install. Your organization may also have a Data Processing Agreement as part of contracting.
