Speaks the searcher's language

Whether the page uses the same vocabulary as the people searching the target keyword - and the pages that rank for it.

Searchers, and the results that win them, converge on plain words for a thing. A page that consistently says "beverage storage solutions" where everyone searches "wine racks", or leads with an internal product name nobody outside the company knows, is describing the right thing in the wrong words - and relevance signals suffer for it.

When this is flagged

The report flags this when the page consistently uses different vocabulary than the target query and the ranking results use for the same thing - internal, brand-specific, or unusual terms where searchers use plain ones.

How to fix it

Adopt the searcher's words in the places that carry the most weight: the title, headings, opening paragraph, and link text. Keep your brand or product names alongside the plain terms rather than instead of them.
