Mark an issue as fixed

Use Mark as fixed after you have corrected an issue but are not ready to retest the website yet.

For example, you might fix a spelling issue on a staging site but wait to publish it alongside other changes. Marking the issue as fixed prevents Silktide from repeatedly showing work you have already completed.

What happens

  1. Open the issue in the Inspector.
  2. Select Mark as fixed below the issue.
  3. The issue disappears from the Inspector and your issue lists.

Marking an issue as fixed does not update your scores. Scores continue to represent the latest completed website test, not unverified work on a staging site.

What happens after a retest

When the website is tested again:

  • If the issue no longer exists, it remains resolved and the new score reflects the fix.
  • If Silktide finds the issue again, it is restored to your issue lists.

This makes Mark as fixed a temporary workflow decision, not a way to suppress an issue permanently or change a score without evidence.
