Screens in Settings
Documentation for each screen in the Settings area of Silktide. These pages explain what a screen shows and what you can do there.
| Title | Summary |
|---|---|
| Account screen | Account settings defines how the account is named and how people on it sign in. You need account administration permission to change them. |
| Activity screen | A record of what changed on this account, and who changed it. |
| Adoption screen | Who is using Silktide, and where their time goes. |
| AI screen | Choose which AI providers may process your data, and what AI may do. |
| API screen | Create and revoke API keys, and try a request against this account. |
| Checks screen | Checks administration controls which checks are enabled for the account and which priority each check receives. It lives under Website settings in the Sites area, with the rest of your testing policy. |
| Decisions screen | Decisions is the account-wide record of outcomes saved while reviewing findings. It helps administrators understand which findings have been accepted, excluded, or otherwise resolved across websites. |
| Integrations screen | Connect Slack, Microsoft Teams, and other systems to this account. |
| Labels screen | Labels are reusable markers for grouping websites, sections, or documents. Silktide 4 called these tags; the name changed in Silktide 5 so they are not confused with HTML tags or PDF accessibility tags. See What happened to tags?. |
| MCP | Let ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and other AI products use your Silktide account. |
| Metadata screen | Metadata adds structured, organization-specific fields to websites and sections. Account administrators define the fields here, then website users enter values in the website's Metadata settings. |
| Plan screen | What each product on the account includes, and how much you are using. |
| Priorities screen | Priority levels such as P1, P2, and P3 express how urgently your organization wants a check handled. They are customer-owned and separate from older severity concepts. |
| Readability screen | Readability settings control which calibrated formula Silktide uses for each supported language. The setting is account-wide. |
| Regulations screen | Regulations are chosen per website in Compliance, not as an account setting. |
| Responsibilities screen | Responsibilities identify the kind of team expected to fix a finding, such as content editors, designers, or developers. |
| Roles screen | Roles are reusable groups of permissions assigned to users. They let you define access by job or responsibility instead of configuring every user independently. |
| Silktide Script | Install one account script so Analytics can record visits on every website that uses it. |
| Spelling screen | The account dictionary contains words that Silktide should treat as correctly spelled across every website in the account. |
| Usage screen | Time in Silktide, plus metered AI usage, for the dates you pick. |
| Users screen | The Users screen lists everyone who can sign in to your Silktide account. User administration permission is required to add or change users. |
| Website settings screen | This screen sets account-wide defaults for every website. Open any website, choose Settings in its sidebar, then under All sites choose Settings. |
