Accessibility

The Accessibility module tests how usable your website is for people with disabilities, including automated checks against success criteria, manual audit support, and remediation guidance. For the accessibility of Silktide itself, see Accessibility of Silktide.

The Accessibility overview, showing the module score, the latest strategy, the score trend, what is costing the most points, level cards, and issue categories.

Reading the overview

  • The standard you are measured against (for example WCAG 2.2 AA) is picked at the top right, beside filters for responsibility, priority, and confidence. Every figure on the screen follows them.
  • The strategy card at the top shows the headline of this module's latest module strategy, with View report to read it.
  • Your visitors' accessibility settings (when Analytics is recording) shows the share of recent visitors whose devices are set for reduced motion, adjusted contrast, forced colors, or reduced transparency. It answers whether people who use this site have those needs, in your own traffic. Open Preferences for the full mix.
  • Overall accessibility combines all weighted accessibility criteria, with tabs to narrow it to , , or best practice. How this is scored and Set target sit under the chart.
  • Costing you most lists the checks removing the most points from the module's 100-point score, combining how many pages each affects and how heavily it is weighted. Fixing the top of the list raises the score fastest. View all checks opens the complete list.
  • Level cards summarize Level A, Level AA, ARIA, and best-practice scores, each with its recent trend.
  • Issue categories group related barriers such as navigation, semantics, forms, contrast, , and keyboard access.

Automated errors are definitive conditions Silktide can detect. Warnings and review items need human judgment. A high automated score does not by itself prove that a website is fully accessible.
