Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is Microsoft's AI answer surface on Bing - the Copilot Search experience at the top of many Bing results, also available as its own tab and at copilot.microsoft.com. It is grounded on Bing's index and shows cited sources alongside the answer.

Silktide measures the real Copilot Search page through a search API. There is no first-party Microsoft API for this surface.

For some queries Copilot or the measurement pipeline may return no usable answer. Silktide treats that absence as a real visibility result, not an error.

Copilot Search is also slow to answer, often taking 20 seconds or more, and a share of requests time out and are recorded as failed. Failed responses are excluded from your visibility figures rather than counted against you - see when a response fails.

This is the public web Copilot / Bing Copilot Search surface, not Microsoft 365 Copilot inside Teams or Office (those answers are grounded on a customer's own tenant data and cannot be measured the same way).
