Real-time Analytics screen
Real-time Analytics shows recent activity as it arrives. Use it to confirm that tracking is working, observe a launch or campaign, and understand what visitors are doing now.
The large number is unique visitors in the last 5 minutes. That is, people who visited recently, not a count of who is on a page this second. The chart shows page views per minute over the last 30 minutes. The shaded band shows the 5-minute window that the visitor count covers. The current minute is left off the chart until it has finished, so a partial bucket cannot look like a drop.
Real-time numbers are provisional. Events can arrive late, be deduplicated, filtered, or processed differently in completed reports. Use normal date-range reports for durable comparisons and reporting.
If expected activity does not appear, check that the Analytics script is installed on the relevant pages, that consent rules permit it to run, and that browser or network controls are not blocking it.
