Minification

Minification rewrites code files - JavaScript, CSS or HTML - so that they are as small as possible without changing their behaviour, by stripping comments, whitespace and other characters that only matter to people reading the code. Smaller files download more quickly, so minification is a standard, fully automated step when preparing a website for production.
