llms.txt
llms.txt is a proposed convention: a Markdown file at the root of a website (for example https://example.com/llms.txt) that gives AI assistants a concise, curated summary of the site — what it is and links to its most important content.
It is the AI-era cousin of : where robots.txt says what crawlers may read, llms.txt suggests what they should read first.
The proposal is young and adoption among AI providers is still uneven, so an llms.txt file is a low-cost, low-impact signal — worth having, but not a substitute for making the pages themselves readable and well-described.
