Speed screen
Speed shows how quickly pages become useful to visitors. It combines controlled lab testing with real-visitor measurements where Analytics is available.
When Analytics is recording visits, the overview includes from those visits: , , , and time to first byte. Each figure is rated good, needs improvement, or poor against Google's thresholds, so you can see how the site felt to real people rather than only how it performed in a lab run.
Lab and real-world data
Lab tests provide repeatable diagnostics for specific pages and devices. Real-user data reflects the range of networks, devices, and visitor conditions actually experienced on your site. The two can differ without either being wrong.

- work that blocks interaction.
- Large images and unnecessary data transfer.
- Slow servers, third-party scripts, and render-blocking resources.
Start with high-traffic or important pages, then use the Inspector and individual checks to find concrete causes.
