Testing scope

Testing scope determines which website content Silktide discovers and analyzes.

Use What we test to allow URL patterns, deny exceptions, and force important pages to be included. The final scope is also affected by authentication, crawlability, robots rules, redirects, section configuration, advanced settings, and the website's .

For how those rules interact with discovery - including why the whole website is URL-only while sections can use content-based rules - see Scope rules and the rest of Crawling.

Use the narrowest rules that still represent the website accurately. After changing scope, run a new test and review Inventory coverage to confirm the expected pages were found.

Some features, including automated AI reports, can reuse similar allowed, denied, and forced-page matching without changing the main crawl scope.
