Understanding inventory coverage

Inventory is built from what Silktide discovers and tests. It is not automatically identical to a CMS export or server file list.

Why content may be missing

• Nothing reachable links to it.
• Crawl rules, authentication, or network controls block it - see Crawling.
• The configured page allowance was reached.
• The content was published after the latest test.
• JavaScript or a user interaction is required to reveal the URL.
• A collection or section intentionally narrows the scope.

Unviewed and untested pages

When Analytics is connected:

• Unviewed pages identifies tested content with no observed traffic in the selected period.
• Untested pages identifies analytics URLs that are not represented in the tested inventory.

These reports help find obsolete content, tracking inconsistencies, crawl gaps, and allowance problems. They require interpretation because URL variations, redirects, query parameters, and recent changes can produce apparent mismatches.
