Library policies are reusable compliance configurations that can be applied to websites.
Why use a library policy
A shared policy helps an organization:
- Apply the same minimum standards to several websites.
- Update expectations in one controlled place.
- Explain which requirements are organizational policy rather than universal product defaults.
- Report consistently across a portfolio.
Applied policies appear on the website's policy or overview surfaces. Removing a policy changes which policy-backed checks and criteria are expected for that website.
Design policies around recognizable governance concerns. Avoid treating Compliance as an unstructured dumping ground for every check that does not obviously belong elsewhere.
