A topic is an arena where you want : a subject area including its qualifier (for example "undergraduate nursing programs" or "smartphones"), not a vague one-word label.
Most topics are subject arenas. A brand can also have a brand topic for reputation questions about the brand itself - yours or a competitor's. Every topic belongs to exactly one : a subject topic to the workspace whose contest it is, a brand topic to the workspace of the brand it is about.
