Decision

A decision is your recorded judgment about a finding, made in the Inspector. Decisions come in two flavors with importantly different meanings:

  • Approve means Silktide was wrong: you have confirmed this is not a problem, and Silktide should treat it as correct from now on. Approving an unusual brand spelling teaches the spellchecker that word.
  • Ignore means Silktide was right, but you are choosing not to act: the issue is real and stays wrong, you just don't want it raised. A deliberate misspelling in a quote is a good candidate - you would not want to approve it and have it accepted everywhere forever.

Decisions affect your scores, which can take a minute or two to recalculate on large websites. You can review and undo decisions at any time in Website settings > Decisions.
