Website settings controls the basic configuration for one website.

General

Set the website homepage and the display name used in Silktide. Choose at least one language that Silktide should expect while testing. These expected languages are also available when creating URL language rules.

Allowances

Reserve the maximum pages and PDFs the website may use from the account's available allowance. An allowance limits how much content can be retained for this website. It does not expand testing scope.

AI

Choose how much AI this website gets:

AI optimizer - a strategy for each module every month, and the tasks written from it. AI features work too. Your plan includes a number of , and this option shows how many are in use. A website keeps its AI optimizer for 30 days after its last report.
AI features - Ask AI, alt text, and page reports can read this website's pages. Its checks come first.
No AI - none of this website's pages are sent to AI. Use it for private content. AI spell checking still runs, because it only sends single words that aren't in a dictionary.

With an AI optimizer, Report language sets the language the strategies are written in. It starts as your account's language.

A website that has finished setup and had a full test gets its first strategies when you save. After that, a new edition arrives with a scheduled test about once a month. Compliance gets a strategy once its requirements are set up.

Websites that need credentials or a proxy to reach start with no AI. If your plan has no AI optimizers, this is a single Allow AI on this website switch instead.

Schedule

Choose a one-time test, a preset cadence, or a custom number of days, weeks, or months. Clear Keep schedule active to pause scheduled tests without removing the website.

Benchmarks

Choose an industry and percentile when you want to compare scores with similar organizations.

Save changes, then run or wait for the next test where the changed setting affects testing.
