Pages, issues, and evidence
An issue count tells you how widespread a problem is. The Inspector shows the evidence for one occurrence.
Page preview
The central preview shows the tested page. Selecting an issue attempts to highlight the relevant element or region. Some findings belong to the page as a whole, a network response, a PDF, or metadata and may not have a normal visual highlight.
Occurrences
A check can have many occurrences on one page. Move between them to understand whether they share one underlying template problem or require separate content fixes.
Specialized inspection tools
Accessibility tools can expose information that is difficult to understand from appearance alone:
- Heading hierarchy
- Landmarks
- Links and
- order
- Color contrast
- PDF page and structure information
Evidence can change
The Inspector represents a particular test result. If the live page has changed since that test, the stored screenshot, source, and current website may differ. Retest to create fresh evidence.
