Analytics

Every analytics tool counts your visitors. In Silktide 5, Analytics is rebuilt to tell you what to change.

Reports that say what to change

Choose Get insights, and Silktide reads a whole view, opens your pages itself, and writes a prioritized plan. You do not need goals first. On any goal, Optimize this goal finds the step people abandon and what to change. Every finding comes with a proposed task.

An Analytics insights report headed "The homepage sends people away", with the homepage's first screen on desktop and phone and a table of the clicks that stay on the site and the clicks that leave.

See it on the page

Open a page in the Inspector, and its maps sit on the page itself. The scroll map folds the page as visitors drop away, and the click map tilts into 3D. See Maps.

A page shown in 3D in the Inspector, folding downward as the share of visitors still reading falls from 100% at the top to 14% near the bottom.

Choose what is collected before a visitor agrees, and what after: nothing, page views only, cookie-free visitors, or full analytics. The Consent report shows how your traffic splits. One Silktide Script covers every site you own, and each site appears in Analytics once data arrives. See Analytics settings.

More in Analytics
  • Realtime. Who is on your sites right now, on a globe lit for day and night. See Realtime.
  • Journeys. Walk a single visit page by page, and see the paths that lead to and from each goal. See Journeys.
  • Preferences. Dark mode, contrast and motion settings, and touch or mouse, counted in aggregate. See Preferences.
  • AI in your traffic. Visits from AI assistants appear as their own source, and Bots shows what AI agents and crawlers read.
  • Views you can nest. Look at one site, a group of sites, or the whole account. See Views.
  • Names people use. Pages, campaigns, and events can show friendly names, and pages show screenshots when Governance has tested them.
  • The previous period, by default. Every figure shows its change, and charts draw the period before as a dashed line.
  • Real Core Web Vitals. Speed as your visitors felt it, not a lab test.
  • Leave out your own traffic. Ignore your offices' IP addresses.
