MCP

MCP is a way for AI products such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor to connect to other software. In Silktide, it lets those products use your account, so you can ask them to work with Silktide without leaving the tool you were already in.

The letters stand for Model Context Protocol, a common standard those products already speak. You do not need that name to use it.

You connect once from Settings → MCP. Pick ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor and follow the steps. You sign in with your Silktide account when asked. There is nothing to install for those products, and you do not need an API key.

After that, the AI product can do what Silktide Agent can, with your usual permissions. It only reads until your account allows AI to make changes.

If a product is not listed on that screen, it may ask for a . That is only a link that tells the product where Silktide lives.

MCP is not Silktide Agent. Agent lives inside Silktide. MCP lets an AI product you already use reach into Silktide. You can use MCP without turning on Silktide's own AI features.
