CEFR

CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is the international scale for language proficiency, running from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery). You may recognize it from language courses and exams.

Silktide can express readability results on the CEFR scale, which makes results comparable across languages: "B1" means the same level of difficulty whether the page is in English or German. It is one of three scales Silktide offers for the same readability measurement, alongside reading age and education tier.
